Welcome to the website of Chris Clarke, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication at Cornell University.
I arrived at Cornell in August 2005, completed an M.S. degree in May 2007, and enrolled in the Ph.D. program in August 2007.
My research centers on health and environmental risk communication. In particular, I am interested in
(1) How risk messages are sought and interpreted by audiences;
(2) Implications for persuasive and deliberative communication strategies;
(3) How risk messages are created by different sources, such as the mass media |
